Feedback on online pharmacy

Possession of drug license should be mandatory for anyone involved in online pharmacy business. Not just scan copy but Xerox self attested copy of Dr prescription should be compulsory and record to be maintained. Limit on discount separately for oral. Injection and syetemic ointment to be maintained uniformly by all supplier to protect local chemist interest. Source of medicine should be through authorized company distributor only with GST Bill. Regular GST return should be monitored religiously. more

The doctors should put all thier patient data on laptops and print the prescription. They should print with generic names. more
On line pharmacies do not cater on their websites for return of medicines even if the doctor changes prescription in 15 days after purchase, while the medicines were purchased for 3 months (based on old prescription). We should be in a position to at least raise a request for adjusting the cost of returned medicines in the Invoice for medicines newly prescribed. Provision for such refunds/ cost adjustments should be available. As an example, the PharmEasy, against their Order No. 10444858, had initiated a refund of Rs 676/- when, based on my telephonic request, the medicines had been collected from my residence on August 11, have not yet credited the amount to the online source from which the payment was initially made by me. They had sent an s m s to me on 11th Aug stating that refund will take 7 - 10 days; but their message also stated that "Sender does not support replies". Under these circumstances whom should I contact to complain that almost one month has lapsed, but the amount has not been credited to my account. Such unhealthy practices need to be legally stopped and all complaints & refunds should be permissible on line. Telephonic support does not work since the customer support executives keep changing and no reference can be made to the complaints already initiated. more
In addition, the doctors should prescribe and write name of medicine clearly in capital letters and prescribe generic medicines and not the branded costly medicines. The costing and rebates over the counter should be uniform at all druggist and chemist all over the country. The above consumer friendly aspects should be made part of the draft medical and health care code equally applicable on all stakeholders viz. Patients, doctors, hospitals, nursing homes, pathological and testing facilities, druggist and chemist, last but not the least, the pharmaceutical manufacturing and distributing entities universally and uniformly. more
