Fixing Responsibility for Poor Infrastructure built with Public Money

public can not escape any kind of tax or toll etc imposed by the government. It is fine. But when an infrastructure built up by using public money ,like Roads, Flyovers etc are built up with substandard quality which cause accidents on roads and damage to the vehicles and above all day and night inconvenience to the public ,then what mechanism the Govt has put in place by which the officials responsible for the same are watched and punished and also fined.
Why people are made to suffer for lapses on the part of such erring officials. Rather local corporators should be held responsible before such officials . more

Not only infra but all field s govt and people have to be active to improve the systems more
The Collusion between Contractor and erring Employees must be broken and then both must be severely PUNISHED. Such Contractors must be BLACK LISTED and they should not open another firm with different names. All their Family Members must be debarred from opening a new Company. more
This issue is very relevant to our country, where most of the population is either uneducated (not irrelevant) or docile or struggling with survival problems to bother about other extraneous matters. A law should be passed at All India level authorising suo-motto cognisance of suffering of Public due to inadequacy of service by public offices (including public employees) by Anti Corruption officials and judicial officers (with powers for summary disposal). I request the Local Circles Manager to seriously consider this request. more
I can't tell whether infrastructure covers fields such as education, medical services, transport etc. The same logic needs to be applied here and contractors and employees be held responsible ( and punished appropriately). The problem is that a very large majority of us are silent spectators to these failures and do not register any complaint. Are we also not responsible from shirking from our duties ? more
At some places you see the name and mobile number of the contractor doing work at the site. It is also necessary to have portal name displayed on such sites wherein you can lodge the complaints related to work. Do not know whether any security deposit is lying with the Civic authorities/Government agencies by such contractors for 5 years. This is besides punishing the contractor and the concerned authorities. more
