Government has utterly failed in enforcement of MRP rules. more
To make it more clear, the Central Govt has failed in drafting the procedure for collecting GST/CGST at each level of distribution of a product or service while the State Governments have failed in announcing the procedural modus operandi in the implementing of the GST as a Scheme.

Even if the GoI in the GST Council confirms that the procedure for implementing the GST Scheme is the same as under VAT and publicised widely, it will ease implementation for the State Governments while it will be educative for the consumers. more
Really it's so surprising, despite repeated instruction/notification issued by the Union Govt. no body is bothering and at the end of day consumers are suffering. Is it a bold/right step of Govt.? People are troubled by shop keepers, Resturant owners, service providers in the name of GST. It's very difficult to remember the rate of GST for various products, shopkeepers are making an allegation, Govt. has declared it but we have not received any intimation officially. concerned dept. perhaps is not very sure at this juncture. So you wait for justice and Acche Din. more
