FRAUD BY THOMAS COOK WHILE TRYING A LEISURE TRIP

Hi everyone,I am a living in Lucknow and recently faced a fraud and insincere behavior from part of a reputed travel company like THOMAS COOK. After booking a trip to Singapore they firstly gave me wrong details of 4night 5 days saying it to be 5 night 6 day and including the day of travel in it.later they deducted by 2 k after telling. After getting the money they booked ticket without telling truth and later told we needed to stay in lobby of hotel till evening before we can check in. later they said that this ticket is non refundable and they can't do anything..Even spoke to greviance team but of no help ..I lost 70k without a trip plus the harassment and mental torture..THOMAS COOK should be sorry and pay for my troubles..May it not happen to anyone else.. more

You can definitely go to consumer court on this count even if it takes time as you have nothing more to lose and everything to gain. Slap Thomas Cook with the charges and levy a penalty of a huge amount for mental torture, money lost and no trip. more
Thomas cook is better in many ways. But the real culprit here may be the concerned ofc staff. When we spend money we should discuss all the aspects clearly and in normal terms plan should be as discussed and finalised. Travel agents are not to make any changes . We should be very careful in selecting the travel agents. In this case as per the case, try your best to get back more
Hi, sorry to know about yr horrible tour experience. Pls take it up with proper guidance preferably through lawyer. They will respond once it goes legally. Consumer courts have been quite active in settling such disputes. Keep yr documentary proofs ready. Effort will be required from yr end but at the end matter will get sorted. You can represent yrself in court too if you wish. So don't give up hope. Best luck for yr future step. more
TAKE IT UP STRONGLY WITH TRAVEL AGENCY AND DO NOT GIVE UP.IF THEY FAIL TO RESOLVE CONSIDER LEGAL PROCEEDINGS.BUT,A WORD OF CAUTION TO ALL FELLOW MEMBERS.WHY ARE WE SO EAGER TO PART WITH OUR MONEY SO EASILY.WHY NOT UNDERSTAND THE FINE PRINT OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE MAKING ANY PAYMENT. more
So many complaints have been highlighted in this column, but No one seems to respond to complaints. May be Railways an exception. more
