Fraud MIDEA Water Heater manufactured by M/s Carrier Midea India Private Limited

Assurance was given by dealer that Midea water heaters can sustain any amount of water pressure in very high-rise buildings of 30-35 floors or more as well with 2 years manufacturing warranty and 7 years tank warranty as Midea titanium body makes it very strong. On assurances and recommendations, I bought 2 Midea water heaters on 30th October 2018. Right from day one both the heaters were found to be defective with leakages and do not store enough hot water for comfortable bath of one person. Matter was immediately reported, and complaints made several times with various follow ups. Their technician came 5-6 times. Every time tightening some valve and sometime changing the valve with false promises that heaters will be replaced if found defective next time. Last he informed that one valve is to be installed in pipe of water heater to tolerate water pressure. I stay on 1st floor of around 22nd floor building at Gaur Sportswood, Sector 79, Noida. Builder has made very good provision of water pressure control mechanism at every point in every flat including geysers point. Now Co. after so much harassment to us and after 2 months is mailing with another idea that my water tank supply is on 22th Floor and water heater has been installed at first floor and due to high pressure of water, leakage issue is happening which can be overcome by installation of external valve which will be installed at the outlet of water tank supply and I need to buy these valves. They also say that it is not product related issue whereas the technician told me that one valve needs to be installed in pipe of water heater. They did not inform before I purchased the water heaters. I urge that such companies should not be given free hand to cheat their customers. Company is indulging in shameless fraud repeatedly. more

It is a fact that companies should not be given free hand to cheat their customers. Many Company are indulging in shameless fraud repeatedly. more
It is not cheating the customer. All heaters must be provided external control valves to control pressure and quantity of water and at the same time vent must also be provided for safety. These are not part of supply from the heater manufacturer. more
tHE VALVES HAVE TO BE SUPPLIED WITH THE GEYSER COMPANY OTHERWISE THEY WILL ALWAYS BLAME THEIR FAULTS ON THE VALVE COMPANY AND YOU WILL BE THE SUFFERER more
Dear Siddhartha ji, Each geyser has a design pressure and maximum operating pressure. At inlet of each geyser the current practice is that geyser manufacturer install pressure relief valve avoiding high pressure water supply. The solution for your geysers is that manufacturer or yourself install a pressure reducing valve at the inlet allowing water pressure that is acceptable to geyser chamber. You may also like to note that in general all electric water geysers can easily sustain a pressure of 25 MWC (meaning accepting water from a height of 25 metres) with maximum hot water temperature at 70 to 75 degree centigrade. With best wishes for buying Carrier Midea India geysers instead of air-conditioners that was supposed to be a product of this company according to my knowledge Carrier used to make ACs. more
