Has Apple lost its Commitment to its Consumers?

Apple, considered to be one of highly regarded brand is losing its commitment on Product Quality and After Sales Service. I have been a Apple User and witness to degradation of Product Quality especially after Apple lost its driver Steve Jobs.

My recent experience with Apple made me feel so disgusted of possessing an Apple Product with me. My highly priced Apple Macbook Pro with Touch, which was configured as per my requirement and bought from Apple Website directly with Apple Protection plan has been having Hardware Issue for last 2 months. Apple Support and Service centers have been trying various R&D and wasted a lot of my time and yet not able to find the solution. They even replaced my logic board but the problem still exist. Even after writing to Apple CEO, VPs they still want me to go through repairs which includes giving the Macbook to service center for a week.

2 Months to resolve a problem, putting customers on call for 6 hours to diagnose on call, making customers to going to service centers again and again is just physical and mental problem. Not just the Macbook but the all the Apple iPhones also have serious hardware and software defects.

Where other brands are elevating, Apple for sure is going down. Be prepared to lose your mind if you are unlucky to get a defective product from Apple like me.

consumer protection is very bed india. Comp will behave as per law of the land. We expect same from any company. more
It is not expected from company like Apple. more
Apple Services out of India are excellent, I don understand why in India it is so bad. more
Apple products are awesome with all the features..but service is highly pathetic and very highly expensive. We shall have to trade our peace of mind when we buy apple products. Eventhough i have high regards for Steve and have high interest on Apple products, i never buy one due to the said reasons. I also suggest you to check the service centres before buying any product. In india, customers need to be aware as your Govt. says so. Customer is not given protection in india compared to other countries. more
This is a good initiative you have started. I am sure this will lead to some positive results for the benefit of eCommerce buyers as well as sellers. Complaints on quality, size, functionality and many others are plenty of late. I have been using eCommerce for quite some time now and was very happy with the way returns and fund refunds were handled not too long back. Now a days, things have deteriorated so badly that obtaining a refund has become a nightmare and process to long ! I wish that a Central Body be established to handle such issues like returns, refunds and other settlements and neutral terms and conditions are framed by this body. Such terms and conditions should be binding on one and all eCommerce vendors as well as buyers, instead of current one-sided rules framed by each vendor to suit their own selfish business interests. Strongly suggest this. more
