High security number plated
The government has mandated that vehicles registered prior to 2019 should be fitted with high security registration plates. The process is that the customer orders the registration number plate online and selects the dealer where it would be fitted. The number plate is sent to the dealer. The customer has to fix an appointment with the dealer for fixing the number plate. The number plate can be fixed only at the sales location, not at service centres. In many cases, the sales location is far from the customer's place.
In the interest of the customers, the owner could order the number plate online, get it delivered to their homes and then get it fixed by any local shop. This would save a lot of trouble for the customers. more

The HSRP for old cars is a harassment. I have found that the number plate makers stipulate their own conditions. For my Chevrolet car the dealers are not there. The service centres are very very few. more

Hi, I have fitted HRSP in 3 cars in the month of Oct. I was one of early ones. My experience has been smooth except in one case where the HRSP was dispatched to another Outlet of the Car OEM and it took some effort to find out where it was dispatched. Fixing of the appointment was done as part of process of ordering the HRSP in single step on the https://www.siam.in/ site. There was no issue and I was able to go to the Car OEM dealer and get it fitted on the date and time of the appointment(except for the one I mentioned above). I have done this with Tata, Maruti and Hyundai cars. Yes, you may not always get the location nearest to you, but fortunately I was able to get them at locations not so far away. For Hyundai I was able book it at dealer I bought the car, for the other two it was some other dealer. I know that there is an issue for some of the older Car makes those that are not longer sold. On the whole I found the process to be acceptable. more

The servuce center of my dealer us 2kms from my place. Tgecsakes us 25 kms away. And in Bangalore, you know jow traffic moves. more

That is how unfriendly administration works, fix a common person. Make her/ her life more and more difficult.p more
