We see lots of Complaints on various websites about faulty product & non availability of parts & consumer suffering mentally & financially . To safeguards the consumer interest;

There should be clear instruction manual alonwith warranty card about Each Spares / Parts Availability in future for no. of years to safe guards the consumer interest from future pain of non availability of parts & leaving no option with consumers but to go for Replacement either with Co. by paying difference as per Co. policy or to buy from retailer. By forming such policies Co. will take care of Consumer Interest. more

The companies keep the terms and conditions hidden, but what the government organisations supervising such companies are doing. more  
Apart from the manufacturing defects we in Tamilnadu pay a heavy price for the sins of TANGEDCO. When they were implementing the daily powercuts the sudden surge in the old cables affected many of my electrical goods including automatic phase changers, washing machine, refrigerator, TV, light bulbs etc. Our plea to change the old cables has gone unheeded. Instead they threaten to erect junction boxes and pillars right in front of our residences quoting safety. Whose safety? When the trees and boughs fell in Dec 2016 damaging pillars and junction boxes it took them more than a month to attend to repairs. I see the junction boxes with exposed cables collect rubbish underneath since noone dares to clear the same fearing electrocution. Had the department erected one outside my residence I could have been electrocuted since an avenue tree bough collapsed on the very spot and the uprooted live cables would have transmitted electricity through my steel gate and brick compound wall. In an apartment complex on II Main Road I saw the junction box placed in such a way that the steel gate rests on it. The offender it seems is the Alwarpet Substation. L.Kalavathi Retd. Since products have product code and a serial number and that duties are paid to the Govt against each of the product being taken out from the factory gate why not the same be updated in their website with all necessary information. Further on sale of the product that can further be updated with sales details. Thus a customer with a product can access their website with the product code and it's serial number and catch hold of the required information from the companies own website to redress his/her grievances.
