HouseJoy Con Job

I had ordered for Bike Service from HouseJoy. They sent the mechanic who took the bike and returned after two weeks with a bill of INR5000. I paid and the bike stopped running after 1/2km of run. I reported to HouseJoy and they checked with the mechanic and said that I need to shell out another INR 3000. Initially when bike was given for service, I had clearly listed out the problem and they promised to fix everything. Inspite management escalation, they are adamant. Please advise if this can be taken to consumer court? (I paid in cash only and the bill provided by the mechanic is non standard bill )

This kind of set ups should understand that once they lose the reputation, they are finished. Consumer court will be helpful but it is a slow process. more
We modern day people always say don't have time to do any of our personal work or getting our vehicles repaired and want everything online and on finger tips !!!! especially socalled well educated/ foreign returned etc., (IT/back office staff/techies), I dont know what their mentality or they really busy when they can spend vocation sitting in front of sea for hours/days or c sipping chiiled hot drinks without second thought really and opting online sales/service most of the time, this will be the result, as per my experience all these socalled big name online sellers are nothing but big cheaters selling/servicing all fake !!! try filing a complaint with consumer forum but again you need to spend some money to get that extra money paid to nonsense service called House Joy ??? House Nonsense !!!! more
AS FAR HOUSE OF JOY IS CONCERNED IF YOU TALK TO CONCERNED INCHARGE IF THEY ARE ABLE TO RECITFY THE PROBLEM THEY WOULD SOLVE OTHERWISE THEY WOULD FULLY REIMBURSE YOUR AMOUNT IT HAD HAPPENED TO ME SO THEY ARE GUINENE PEOPLE TO ME IS CONCERNED IF NEED PLEASE SEND THE DETQAILS I WOULD TALK TO THEM AND GET YOUR REFUND more
if you have the copy of detailes of the jobs which were to be carried out duly signed by the repairer & also the copy of the Bill which shows that you have paid for that repair, you can surely go to consumer court. more
In my opinion taking the two wheelers or for wheelers to company's (manufacturer) authorized service providers is the best choice. If they cheat you can make both Authorized service provider & Company opposite party in consumer court and result would be much better. Most probably manufacturer will intervene and resolve issue. Mostly people like Housejoy will not even replace genuine spares but spurious spares from market. Secondly, I doubt they will have trained man power for all makes and models. These kind of 'Start ups' are springing up but quality is an issue and they close down. more
