How to send medicine ( 2 small tablets) thru courier to USA?

Need to send 2 ayurvedic tablets ( looks like small 2 jellys) to USA, California.
One Courier person told me that sending medicine is not allowed. None of my known ones are going to California in coming time.
I need to send it for my mother who is Gallstone patient and has serious problem of pain.
What should I do? Any experience ? more

Renuka, You have done the Right thing by sending it by Speed Post. It is safer than sending it by a Courier. Courier Charges would have been much higher. Registered Post would have taken very long. Your Aim was to send the Medicine to your mother by the fastest means. It will reach her home in about 6 days. Federal Express courier costs us $40.00, which is equivalent to about Rs2400/-. Indian Speed post is the right Answer. I Hope and Pray your mother recovers fast. But remember when she comes back to India, think of an laparscopy operation. Very simple procedure. Regards. more
Yes, I sent it yesterday through Speed post, wrapped in documents. Hope it reaches safe. Got the Tracking number also. will track. Speed post charges 657. There were options of sending thru registered post which was cheaper around 100/-. and thru normal post in around 50/- But I am sure that will take many many days to reach. I asked staff Lady and Guy about the delivery days difference in all, both said we don't know. I said Great!! more
Renuka. I am keen to know whether you were able to send the Medicine to your mother by Speed post. Regards more
Renuka. You just hand over the Envelope to the P.O. If they ask? Tell them a letter to my Mother. Thats about all. .1% chance, if they ask you to open, (which they will not). Then tell them the 2 Tablets are from Temple as Prasad as she is ill. That's about all. They will not object. I have so many times sent Medicines thro Speed Post. You see they are very strict with the Courier Guy's. Best of Luck. more
Thanks, I have not sent it today thru courier because of the fear that they will throw it. Thanks for the suggestion, what you are suggesting me is to wrap it in 3,4 documents and then I should say to the post office guys that I need to send documents to my mother. In those documents I will write a request that, please don't throw, it is a prashad I got from temple for my mother. or you want me to make any changes in above process? more
