Illegal practice of LIC Housing Finance Ltd.
LIC Housing Finance Ltd. (LICHFL in short) has a portal "www.lichousing.com" wherein the customers of LIC Housing can log-in and check the loan details. There is a menu "Write to us" wherein the customers can choose "Service Request Inquiry" or "Suggestion /complaint". The details of the customer like his / her loan account number, address, phone number and service location are auto-populated but he / she has to provide the e-mail id, service inquiry type or comments, etc. in "Service Request Inquiry" portion and complaints in the "Suggestion / complaint" portion, respectively.
It is noteworthy that the LICHFL allows users to type the e-mail id in the "Service Request Inquiry" page only but not on the "Suggestion / Complaint" page whereby the user is not in a position to lodge any complaint as he / she has not typed the e-mail id. But the actual position is that LICHFL is NOT ALLOWING users to type their e-mail id.
This is a malpractice because LICHFL does not want anyone to report any complaint or suggestions noticed by the customers to the proper officers.
The issue needs to be taken up at suitable forum. more

To my knowledge, LIC is the very big profit making company of Government of India. If LIC will become Private, then there will be very-very heavy revenue income of Government will lose. Now the operating method of LIC: I personally did not find any problem of such nature in it. Some problems need to be dealt confidentially to catch hold other culprits. They are very strict among the colleagues also. more

There are other ways and means to send complaints including other regulatory bodies. Most such regulatory bodies are run as institutions and in a way, government bodies. But all will not be dishonest. We must give benefit of doubt. At least one must try and point out a) the deficiency and b) contact a regulatory body if there is no satisfactory reply. Simply saying it will not happen is accepting defeat even without trying; and in a way encouraging status co. With such attitude we will not progress. If educated people and those who really think too accept such defeatist mind set Bharat can never come up. more

If site is provided specifically for checking loan account they may not like to clutter it as a complain register. It may even overload the system. You may find a separate site for that. more

I do not think the Local Circle can do any thing. The customer has to write to the LICHL pointing out the deficiency. more
