Make first appropriate provisions in laws to initiate stringent punitive action against those companies which are found guilty of producing falls & fabricated positive reviews in favour of their products; Furnishing detailed addresses and contact numbers of the reviewers should be made compulsory for all eCommerce companies; Prompt punitive action should be taken against the eCommerce companies which fail to redress the consumers' complaints within a stipulated reasonable time, which should include cancellation of their licences ; Laws should have provisions for imprisonment of the company owners in the event of falls reviews and inflated MRPs. more

Jiski Site, Uski Right. Site owner has right to write praise for his products, otherwise why will he create site. If u insist on an NGO writing, then the site owner will create his own NGO and write. Govt can prescribe seller to write factual details like Price, weight/voume or other measurements but writing about quality will always be a problem. Govt can create an authority to punish cheaters, quickly, in 1st or 2nd hearing. more  
If the Department can manage unbiased reviews by NGOs involved with comparative testing of products and services covering the online suppliers (like, retail outlets) eg Amazon, Flipkart, etc. will be more helpful. The problem is that companies like Amazon and Flipkart mostly put on line products of a single company without providing competitive choice to the consumers. Also, such companies should also provide an opportunity to check the product and service physically at the end of their vendors in the markets. The option of cancellation of the order and return of the goods on arrival should also be there to the consumer, if found to be unsatisfactory. more
