Income Tax new site

The Income Tax Department has launched new site where you can not fill your income data for the year from April 2020 to March 2021. After login to Income Tax site you are asked to revalidate the prefilled data, which is wrong data, which is very harassment to income tax payers. It is requested that the concerned authorities will look into the matter & see the site is modified. more

Instead of simplifying the ITR filing, government has made it complex. It talks about simplification but in factual situation, it is not. Common man will certainly find difficult to fill up. No doubt, previous return was simple to file. In fact, government must shift the concept of taxing the income to tax on spend so that every citizen will contribute to the exchequer. No exemption must be made. more
Even the CA is finding it difficult since last 2 days, that too for a pensioner with just one txn of a mf scheme which on its closed down and is returning money in part by part. Some Franklin short term . What shud be taken as purchase cost and what gain or loss the person made is not possible neither shown in that AIS ? unable to track despite clear bank sttmnt how they reached that figure as some receipt . So the whole money is shown as income where as that scheme was actually in loss and they are returning money. Had to tell him to take it as income and pay tax and finish the work as the amount is hardly 2800, so it will be just 570 rs unnecessary tax. Unfortunately now the portal is not working properly and again he said will keep trying to file my return. The It deppt portal should clearly indicate what it takes to be profit or loss income on any MF scheme and the amount on which tax is to be paid. Or leave it to the person to fill the form. 10 rs ka tax lene ke liye , public ko 100 rs ka headache. more
Yes, if one wants to change the information provided in AIS, it is very difficult, though the department want that asessee should correct/change the figures, pre-filled by IT Department in AIS. Ultimately, the choice with the assessee is to ignore AIS, return is to be filed in time. more
Excessive data shouldn't be filled up Upto present TDs info is o more
Thanks,Dhiraj Wala more
