Do not purchase anything from infibeam.it is one of the worst onine retail site.thet are much behind in e commerce business.last month I purchased a sony music system as a part of deal but even after 2 weaks the system was not dispached.moreover nobody bother to inform the status.when I myself called the customer care,I was told that the system is not available with vendor.it was a clear lie since even at that time it was sold on site at a higher price and nowhere it was out of stock.probably the vendor backtracked from deal.I am a regular customer of ebay, snadeal and amazon and to some extent flipkart.for the first time I came across such a nonsense.finaly the payment was refunded after contacting them for second time.whenever you purchase anything from other reputed online sites,an sms and email is send to your registered mobile and email, but here nobody bother to inform you.so you yourself can see how bad this site is. more
Take all copies of documents you have and write to the on liner supplier by registered a.d. and copy of the CRIME BRANCH POLICE OF THE RESPECTIVE STATE/CITY. MARK COPY TO THE LETTER WITH ENCLOSURES TO STATE HIGH COURT FOR THEIR INTERFERENCE AND FOR YOUR RESCUE. more
My advice: NEVER buy anything online from dubious companies! It is certainly not any cheaper and the risk of being delivered a sub-standard item is high.Who has the time to take them to the consumer court? The courts also are not tough with the merchants indulging in unfair trade practices. The compensation and cost awarded are so meagre that it leaves much to be desired. The cost of submitting a complaint is about Rs 500/= and attending each adjournment costs Rs 150/= for transport by car. On average , It takes about 15 adjournments before orders are passed. The total expenditure works out to Rs 500 + 15 x 150 = Rs 2, 750/=Now, is a total compensation and cost of of Rs 2000/= justified? I had suggested to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs about 2 years back to fix guidelines for determining the cost (this is easy and is quantifiable as I have shown above) and compensation so that minimum subjectivity is involved. Regrettably, the govt. has not taken any concrete steps to make the Consumer Protection Act 1986 strong and in favour of the consumer. "Jago, Grahak, Jago" is just an eyewash. The govt. seems to be interested more in protecting the interests of the business class and their unfair trade practices than of the consumers. Another vicious practice is that the parties manage to get the A/D cards of the Notices served of them destroyed. The court then goes on adjourning the case repeatedly! Even if the Notice is served again, the same postman is again making the A/D card VANISH in thin air! The status of the consignment / A.D. letter on the website of the Department of Post, Ministry of Communication and IT shows that the item is delivered. But this status is not being accepted by the consumer court. What is to be done???? Can some one advise me.Some four cases of mine are hanging fire like this. One is pending since over a year now. more
