Invalid Extra Charge of Computer Fees in Schools

Almost all schools charge extra Computer Fees to all students. Have you ever noticed that your child visits computer room once or twice in the whole year and school charges full fee.
Computer is a compulsory subject then why school charges separate fee for this and even though computer lab is not even used for teaching students. I have experienced this many times with many schools that students are not taken to the lab.
If you are paying this extra then ask your child how many times he/she has visited computer lab.

Let us share your views over this. more

The computer charges are not based on any logic. Computer room is like science laboratory. No body charges for Physics laboratory or Chemistry laboratory in colleges. All infrastructural costs are built in the fees. more
Chintanji is right. We must unitedly fight against this corrupt practice. more
Dear Chintan ji, Today is an era of looting the people who can afford to pay. If computer course/subject is part of curriculum then there is no additional fee to be charged by schools. Today schools are business centers and owners are looting and extracting money from the pockets of parents who want to give their children better education. Even if you write to district education officer or any other official, no action will be taken as everybody is getting his/her share from the money made every year. I remeber a time when my children school fee was raised 20% suddenly, I wrote to the DEO and the secretary, education department but nothing happened. We the parents never get a hike of 20% in salary in our life. Even if schools want to increase the school fee, it has to be not more than 5% keeping the increase in slary of the parents. more
Ideal to have one syllabus classwise across the nation. So the education system needs complete revamp. Currently, we have too many school boards having different syllabus if varying standards and hence students facing numerous tasks while appearing for admission tests for undergraduate courses. Similarly fee structure also needs regulation. Computer education is the need of the hour and so fees must take care of this too. Government to address this urgently. more
