One trusts the prestigious TATA ( VOLTAS )Brand but their AC purchased about a year and a half ago became unserviceable . When after many complaints the pick up people came I was shocked to see many unserviceable ACs lying in the van . The driver explained that some of the Acs have been repaired many times in a period of one- two years. I said that I had purchased the most expensive variety it being five star quality, he explained that these are marketing methods to remain competitive in a market .He pointed out and compared with older Acs of different companies still functioning perfectly after almost fifteen to twenty years. Feel sad that instead retaining brand loyalty I for one would never buy their any TATA product . It is better to buy a Japanese product as they still have a premium if the product has been made in Japan, as they respect their country and its image. How can we realise our dream of make /made in India if the products are so shoddy and poor quality . If in India the products are bad , how can we ever think of exporting Indian product based on quality.Sad to see TATA going down.... The lesser companies believe in importing Chinese / Malaysian products and assembling in India. No wonder the manufacturing industry in this country is collapsing ... more
Big brands are very powerful, in monopolistic sort of business requiring lots of funds. They care least about consumers / customers. Need find mechanism for solving their harassments. more
There are many private companies, who are careless. Let the authorities take some steps against them. more
In one of the happenings an LED manufacturer who returned from abroad and wanted to do some genuine business expresses voluntarily by approaching Municipalities and Railways sincerely that he would provide 5-6 years of replacement warrantee on the installed LED bulbs by placing LEDs getting imported from a reputed Japan company called NICHIA. His proposals were rejected by the concerned officials telling the manufacturer that it is enough to provide 1 or 2 years warrantee either by placing the LEDs manufactured in Chaina or otherwise with a view to get quick contracts in shorter spells, generate allocation of extra funds and get their share of illegal moneys. Then whom to blame? more
