Make government and related services completely online

This is the nth time I am posting in this circle regarding making services completely online to reduce unnecessary travel by citizens and reducing the crowd at these service centers/offices. Let the government walk the talk of social distancing, reducing crowds etc. I have also posted in the respective FB pages, given suggestions in the mygov site, but there is no action or intended action.
- Make renewal of passports completely online, since all the details are already in their database. As of now, one has to take an appointment, visit the passport office. And not all passport seva kendras are open. Even if they are open, it is only for very limited customers. alternatively, extend the validity of passports which are due to expire until the end of the year or more, with an email a printout of which can be attached to the passport. Take the necessary fees, if required.
Also, the process of filling up the online form for renewal is extremely cumbersome. one has to fill in ALL the details, as if applying for a new passport. Instead, just take the existing passport number, fill all the fields with the available details. Users can change any information, with supporting documents where applicable.
- Make renewal of driving licenses completely online, since all the details are already in their database. As of now, one has to visit the RTO office (and run from pillar to post there, especially in some of the RTOs in Bangalore). alternatively, extend the validity of Licenses which are due to expire until the end of the year or more. Take the necessary fees, if required.
- Existence certificates for insurance policies - allow to upload/email online, with only self attestation. As of now it requires signatures from some specified personalities.

Surely, there are many more such process which can be made completely online, without citizens having to visit the centers and crowding. These will also reduce corruption for the common man (if the government is serious about this). more

Agree, need is the mother of all inventions. Corona has pushed us go virtual. more
Agree with Mr Padmanabhan and Mr V S murty. May be some agents with some fee may be allowed to help the people who can not do on their own. But with some control on them. That also can be online more
I agree that all the things must be made online. But there are a few points which has to be taken care of.1)All online frauds have to be controlled and resolved in the minimum time and culprit should be punished heavily.2)There are so many people in India Specially Senior Citizens and other less/nil computer educated people, for them Govt should create help group so that it becomes easier for this type of people to sail thru it. more
If things could be made that simpler, then who would take notice of the so-called "babu bureaucracy"? more
I agree with the suggestion fully for the simple reason that I don't have to face corruption. But the problem is that there is no system of strict punishment for non-accomplishment of task in the given time and even adjudication forums are ineffective either due to being bogged down by procedures or due to same malaise of corruption. In fact, the judicial or Quasi-judicial officials show indulgence to the misdeeds of errant government officials. more
