Man made Destruction in Himachal and Uttarakhand

With families both in Dehradun and Shimla, the last month and half has been really hard on us.

All the illegal construction permits that have been given in last 20 years are now showing results as rains and floods create havoc.

I want to discuss how an honest construction approval system can be created and implemented in these two states.

Corrupt politicians and babus in exchange for gratification have approved such construction and we are all bearing the results of the same.

Construction and Tourism needs to be high regulated in both the states at the earliest.

Please share views ideas just dont read my email. Do respond even if its a like or thankful thumbs up

Whatever affects me and my family will affect u and family soon. more

Very true. Over exploitation with nil regard to nature more
Do visit posh colonies of Delhi. Illegal constructions are showing visible cracks & Corporation roads are coated with slippery marbles/ tiles, extending beyond the areas, marked for housing in original maps, approved by Corporation. I pity the fire services personnel who are called to rescue greedy people who have more than 80% covered areas and SUVs full of inflammable fuels. If Police/MCD wishes to file FIR against Illegal Constructions, authorities can do it or Stop illegalities in initial stages. Fire services is Not under Corporation and these people are duty bound to save lives. If it is a woman owner, complaints to relevant authorities are not taken seriously, making illegal squatters in posh colonies More Daring. Harsh Reality of Women Empowerment in India,as if owning a flat through hard work is a criminal offence !! more
Encroachments on Govt. land and Illegal construction has spread in almost every city in the country like a cancer cell in the body. This is also one of the major factors of corruption and Mafia raj. In a place like Noida seeds of this cancer are present, even clearly visible, in almost all sectors of the city but no enforcement of law more
NOTA is not the solution to reject the corrupted representatives or candidates. Representation of Peoples Act should be amended in such a way that criminals, corrupted guys, persons who contempted the court & persons against whom litigations are pending, are not permitted to contest election. Again, if sitting members are convicted by court, should be removed from membership forthwith and court should not be allowed to give time to the convicts to appeal in higher courts. In fact, stay for the court judgments should not be given in any case as currently millions of cases are pending before various courts across the nation. Again, law has to be enacted to complete the court cases within 30 days minimum and 365 days maximum. Further there should be mass protest to revolutionise the outdated laws in India to give strict punishment within time frame. In some cases, punishment must be executed in the public so that people fear to do the similar crimes. Of course, regulators should be sincere and honest in their execution as Fence should not eat the produce therein. Recently, Hon. HM has given complete revamp to criminal laws. In this, it allows 90 days time to file FIR which is absurd. If a person is arrested, FIR must be filed/registered within 24 hours and entire investigation must be completed within 90 to 365 days maximum. Nonetheless, there should not be any vacancy in judges postings more
Sir we can't believe that the proposed amendments will be made against the corrupts by the corrupts.such orders can be passed by the supreme Court ony.sorry cant depend on the corrupts more
I feel a vigilance committee of eminent citizens (may be heads of various residential societies only) should be formed. Any construction activity within a particular area or society should be scrutinised and approved by the heads of such society or area. This will ensure feasibility keeping in mind the existing infrastructure and prevent exploitation of nature and surroundings. Tourism too should be regulated to prevent over crowding and creating a nuisance to inhabitants of the area. more
The powerful people brow beat such committee members and hence they stop working. The law enforcing agencies generally keep silent or go too slow against powerful defaulters. more
There is one option NOTA to reject the corrupt ones.letus start honestly by ourselves more
