Many chemists are dacoits

They sell 30% shelf life left medicines at full MRP and then oppose e pharmacies for selling at discounts.

Consumer Affairs should take this up and right the act of these looting chemists. more

Can some one please explain to me the meaning and significance of the so-called "shelf life" for dry allopathic medicines viz. pills, capsules, tablets etc.......? more
With below 20% self life we should not accept/purchase medicine. We cannot force Discount on medicine. We need to change the shop.. more
Ma'am I don't think chemists are doing anything wrong in this . Medicine company don't price their medicines in this way. As per law medicines are sold at MRP till near expiry. more
M.R.P.is the Maximum Retail Price that can be charged but in a competitive world there are many reputed shops who are passing on some of their earnngs and thus charge a few%age below the M.R.P. Medicines should be bought only for actual consumption for maximum 1 or 2 months. Normally all medicines under normal storage condition have shelf life exceeding 1 or 2 years. The Chemists Shop also normally do not stock more than his sales requirements. If a medicine which he has in hs shelf has a remaining 30% shelf life there is no need for him to sell it at a special discount. Normally Pharma Companies also reimburse them for the normal remnant stocks if there is a Drastic Price reductions. This in fact benefits the Chemists. more
