medicines and medical constables MRF 10 to 15 times higher than whole sale price

Medicines an medical consumables with 10 to 15 times higher MRP than whole sale price. Example most of the high cost drugs, IV Sets. IV Cannulas are with 10 to 15 times higher than whole sale price. In case IV Cannulas general MRP is around Rs. 100 an it's whole sale price is. Around Rs. 10. Where this margin going. Common persons are mostly suffering with this price. All corporate hospitals are distributing indirectly this amount to politicians. Govt. Officials. Is this does not know to Govt. And top government officiald. Why they are calm . Since they are receiving their share.
Why manufacturing units labeling with abnormal MRP. is it required that marketing promotion in the form of flight tickets to abroad by companies. And in the form costly products more

I cannot but agree that medicine costs - sorry PRICEs - are uncontrolled. But one should understand that when a medicine is sold in the wholesale at, say ₹10/= all the sales after that goes to the entities which buy and sell it down the line. The money doesn't go to the manufacturer....irrespective of the Printed MRP. Yes it is definitely a matter for deeper INVESTIGATION on the distribution cost and FAIR PRICING and FIXING OF MRP more
I agree , I had an experience to share a centre line chanel is 3200/ Mrp I bought from whole sale dealer at 1650/.At medical shop it is selling at 2900/ and in hospitals it is selling at Mrp. Transfer 10000 iu Mrp 3200/- selling at hospital and I have been quoted Rs1000/ Doctors are given lot of perquisites like Tours, gifts etc adding burden on poor people. I agree Medical items are almost 10 time priced more
The whole medical business is suffering like this due to excessive laws, which makes the entry in this business difficult, thereby reducing the competition and resulting in high prices. The answer is less laws, not more if you want low prices. more
Slowly the government is waking up and I think on July 1 the PM is innaugrating a facility by which even medicines will be made available at negotiated rates with top Pharma Companies. Let us wait ad see. more
open taluk wish government medical shop with cheaper praise, that will force them to go for praise reduction. more
