Mediclaim ageNts and customers

Mediclaim policies, are increasing day by day.on line policies are also available.big market and big business.Due to frauds in hospitals, companies ChaNged rules.
Main problem is that agents who promise great help when we opt policies from them, neglect us after some time, when they get new customers.
They don't even help us when we apply for refund of expenses.
We (Sr Citizens)any way pay policy yearly charges by standing in que.
But the commission of our instalments goes in agents account as his name remains registered there for ever.
That's why agent never worries .
If customer ques in banks or mediclaim company
branch, commission should be given to him or her.
If agent ques, commission should be given to agent.
At present, agents don't give service as their commission is guaranteed. more

Yes Correct. Lot of reforms needed in Insurance sector. IRDA should take note. more
The target of agents is to sell policy by giving false promises and then disappear. more
Mr.Satyapal Singh, youir post regarding mediclaim & agents, may be your bad experiences with your agent, and the company of which you are holding a mediclaim policy. It's a vast subject to discuss but if I summarize 1) one should thoroughly go through the policy terms conditions with inclusions & exclusions and only accept if favourable. 2) selecting an advisor, as well maintaining the relations also becomes more important because he is also one of the policy holder of the same health insurance company going through the same diffculty. 3) nowadays there has been lot of changes in the working of claim procedure, since digitalised claims are settled "Anywhere Cashless." one need not have to worry if you select a hospital coming under 'gypsa'. You may get the same from your TPA Website. FOR FURTHER DETAILS YOU MAY CONTACT YOUR ADVISOR OR YOUR TPA FOR ASSITANCE. more
The best solution is that there should be no private hospitals and no private practice by Doctors. Everything should be under Govt. more
In our country having huge population, it is just not possible for every body to visit govt hospitals and stand in long queues for hours. Govt hospitals remain closed for about 220 days in a years as the number of holidays is very high. Working hours are limited. Strikes are very frequent.
Private practitioners and hospitals are a compulsion. more
Simple solution, change the insurer. It will make the agent dance before you. more
