Not much value of Aadhar Card

I went for the verification process to get my PCC from the local police station, but, only on the 4th attempt I was able to convince the officer by providing all the documents that he needed. Similar case for getting Passport, PAN Card, Driving Licence, Voter ID Card, or any government ID proof. Aadhar Card alone has not much value. The officers still require Birth Certificate/School Leaving Certificate/PAN Card for Address Proof and Name Proof. Also, if the flat is on rent, then a Rental Agreement is a must. Letters from References with their ID's. So, much of hassle. Initially, the government informed us that Aadhar Card alone will stand for all the different government ID Cards, but, still a lot of inconvenience is caused by government officials when they ask for further documentation. The Aadhar Card was created after showing all these documents, but, still it is hardly of any value. Why does the government provides ID proofs such as Aadhar Card when they themselves do not trust it during document verification? It is high time Aadhar Card gets the value that it needs from our government. more

It is not possible to produce all that is required. However, inspite of so much verification, people still able to cheat. Let us co-operate. more

Now a days in pass port office they only verify AADHAR Card no other proof are required the changes are happening but it takes time for this Govt. officer to come out from their babusahi. more

As address on Adhara card need not be the latest hence they need a proof for current address proof document such as valid rent agreement etc.- Some people when they have applied for Adhara card , may not have provided approved document for Date of birth. In such cases also, you need to provide appropriate document for date of birth . more

even passport office do not take any cognigence of aadhar card . the authority insists for scool leaving certificate . had a very bad experience. even writing to foreign minister, chief passport officer had no replies. m.das more

Mr. Suhail, You know that police is controlled by the state. You belong to which state and went to which police station. my experience with Navi Mumbai police is different. My daughter went to the police station for address and other verification for obtaining passport. The work was done without any delay. She went with her Adhar card and Pan card. more
