OTP everywhere

The overuse of OTP in india is so painful. My parents need an OTP to log into bank account, then an OTP to verify transaction. OTPs expire in 30sec!!! These 65+ age group gets anxious shuffling between apps & having to read & type in so quickly. more

I am doing plenty of online transactions using OTP for every transaction which ensures that it is done by me. I have never found any difficulty and so as suggested by Shri Darshan Lal, Ms Nikita Mehra should help her parents rather than finding fault with the system. I am 82. more
Mr. Pai, learn to use proper language. It is shameful on your part to use such derogatory language about anyone. I will not stoop low to reply in the same tone which I am capable of. It just shows the lack of manners.

As for the duration of the validity of OTP, I am 82 plus and have never faced any issue with the 30 second period. However, it may not be bad to suggest a longer duration which can be done without use of filthy language. more
Harpal is OUT of his head. Why not make OTP VALID FOR 120 seconds? That should solve the problem. Harpal should take age factors of our senior citizens into consideration before writing something stupid. Every Sr citizen is not fast. Respect them. more
Why this constant fault finding with systems? I am sure if the OTP facility is not there you would be complaining about lack of "security" when someone swindles a senior citizen. OTP is useful security option for banking. let it be there. You help them in executing the transaction whenever possible, but do not suggest not using OTP. My mother is 80+ and I support her in banking affairs. be that support that seniors need, not just in banking but all areas. that is all they need. more
I agree that it is essential that OTP are present so that it safeguards interests, however, since it is a matter of senior citizens, you can specify this to the banks and for senior citizens a time of 1 minute may be given for the OTP to expire. more
It will be appreciated to log into your parents account & help them & keep the security of Bank Account by using OTP etc. more
OTP system safeguards individual interest and protect an individual from risk. All the same it is cumbersome for elderly to handle, it is riskful, if they venture to enable OTP systems. more
