Our attempt at getting vaccinated - Bangalore - Basavanagudi
Many readers in the Hindu newspaper have mentioned about their smooth experience in the covid vaccination process, especially in Chennai and Kerala. However, our attempt to get vaccinated in Bangalore is still to materialize. We booked a forenoon slot with the Palike's health center at NR colonly near my house in Basavanagudi. When we went there, there were about 20 people waiting and a small queue at the registration table. A staff came and asked us what we wanted. We showed him the SMS. He said, first they will finish all offline registrations and then take online. So, why have online at all?
We then went to a private nursing home (Bharathi nursing home) nearby where slots were available. There were about 10 to 12 people but all of them were standing around the registration table. There was no distancing in either of the places. A simple queue at the nursing home would have made the process efficient. But, looks like the Covid has taken away whatever common sense citizens had. So, our wait continues. more

We got the shots today at BMS hispita, Basavanagudi. Smooth process. My wife needed a certificate. However, our family doctor was too busy. So, we showed the prescription from the doctor which had the details of the condition (BP). This was fine with them. I am from Mumbai Metro Region and my experience at Government hospital is that citizens are seated inside a room like a flock of sheeps. Co-win app needs to be improvised more stating the time slot instead of forenoon/afternoon which will avoid crowding at the centre. Further, data is entered manually which I am unable to understand, which takes longer time. Again, through government has cleared the proposal of vacinating round the clock but in actual situation, it is anything between 9 AM to 6 PM especially at government centers, it is 10 AM to 4 PM. Currently, even after registering online, one needs to go to the center early as it is first-cum-first serve basis leading to long queue especially in the hot-sun. Of course in the paid center, it is better. I came out in 45 minutes in a private hospital. Now i understand there is shortage of vacine whereas we export. I feel Government should have prepared well to meet all such eventualities and to ensure that citizens are at ease while going for vacination. According to me, the whole process should not take more than one hour. I believe, PM and health minister must intervene to speed up the process and in this local circle must action fast to bring it to the notice of the government. more

I got vaccination in Noida in a private hospital after getting appointment on line. The process was well organised and went on without any fuss despite a good number of people were there for vaccination. more

I hail from Rajasthan and my experience has been good. I baely spent 45 min and came out after vaccination with a certificate which says I have been vaccinated. more

Better to await your turn. In Mumbai, people wait 2 hours for turn. Maybe you can go again and avail vaccination. more
