OUR FDA AND CONSUMER.

Its misfortune of middle class and poor ones , in this country, that they suffer in every field of life, let it be job opportunities or price rise say inflation.
our govt never pays attention to the users, say poor and middle class , their attention is with businessmen and industrialists, politicines to promote trade.
Take example of life saving drugs ,B.P AND DIABITIES are common today. and prices of medicines are increasing every month.AMLOKIND-L a tablet of B.P, COMMONLY USED,is going beyond approach of poor(Rs 59.00 for 10).
RETAILERS happily give 10-20% discount if you purchase a lot of medicines from them.
how prices can be lowered.
1) by exempting taxes,
2) by decreasing retailers margin and decreasing price
accordingly.
3) by auditing manufacturing companies fraud expenses
to increase price.
4) by increasing production.
so many issues are there.
Take eatables:-
APPLES,colours are developed by chemicals.
no real shining of red colour on aples, looks like burning, blackish red.
on every apple ok sticker is put by gum.
Bananas, face same condition by carbide.
who takes care.
our FDA. Will they read it and take action to save human life. more

Undoubtedly, the medicine manufacturers are going on increasing the prices of the medicines regularly at periodical intervals. On every fresh lots of medicines there is an increase in the prices giving an impression that the government authorities have no check/control over pricing of medicines. Under such a situation one can imagine about their quality control over various medicines, particularly the costly ones. Similar is the case in respect of other consumable items of daily use. Take the example of Amul Dairy, one of the largest milk producers of the country. Every half year they increase the price of milk by Rs.2 a litre, which is followed by others. No control over their pricing seems to exist. There are many other consumer products, the prices of which are regularly revised upwards by the manufacturers without any valid reasons. It is high time now that the concerned authorities must pay their serious attention towards this burning issue so that the consumers' interests are protected. more
Allowing FDA in every sector of life is the cause of price rise. Why can't India manage it's own production when the raw materials are available in our country. more
The DPCO act should include all the medicines to control price. Presently ONLY Life Saving Drugs have control on price by Central more
It is not right to say that the government does not take into consideration the plight of the poor. In fact pharmaceuticals in India is one of the cheapest in the world. Further, Generic shops are a boon to the middle class and the poor. Let's stop this blame game and seek better schemes. Pharma industry also has to thrive... more
