overcharging by PAYTM Mall THEN MRP OF THE PRODUCT

I purchased of Monte Carlo Men wool sweater -Purple (Order ID : 7065135676) from PAYTM Mall on 14 Jan,2019.
MRP of the product displayed at PAYTM MALL was INR 3985 and sold me after 25 % discount at INR 2238/-.

I paid by credit card and PAYTM mall provided me cash back of Rs 2000/- on coupon which was provided to me during earlier purchase of IFB Washing machine ( Order Id- 6321690141).

When i received the item, i found that MRP is INR 1355 which was mentioned in price teg and found it is below the MRP.

During search again in PAYTM Mall i found that same item is selling at MRP INR 1355 and after 40 % discount it is available at INR 813 only.

It seems that PAYTM Mall has charged me the price much higher then the item MRP and its available discount. When i contact them number of times but every time they are refusing to refund excess amount and offering only Rs 97/- as refund (God knows how they come to this figure of 97) which is much below the price difference.

Please advice how to take back my money from PAYTM Mall more

A fit case for recovery of the overcharged amount, being unfair trade/business practice under Consumer Protection Act 1986. You may file a complaint with the consumer forum nearest to your place of residence. more
I have nothing to do with PayTM but: Price on Price Tag is NOT MRP - MRP is the price printed on the Packaging - in case you have NOT received the Packaging (Cardboard Box for a single sweater) there is no way of knowing what the MRP of the article is. Most Sites have a "no questions asked" refund period - within that you can return the package - at most you'd be required to pay for the postage. Once that period has elapsed, there's absolutely nothing you can do. Please examine all items from eCommerce sites immediately on receipt, and log an issue within 48 hours for maximum effectiveness. All E commerce sites are cheating customers. One should buy from e commercesite only after verifying market price. Recently I had purchased Gravity Steam Irom from Gobind Puri, Delhi market for Rs 2,000.00, same Iron is offered at AMAZON site at Rs. 2,900.00 after discount. more
File a complain at consumer forum. You can refund the product and take money. Another advice - don't purchase costly item through e-eCommerce site. more
Cheating has been way lf life for most of the ecommerce sites. Please be careful. more
