Profiteering Complaint against Reckitt Benckiser/Dettol

Have also received information from Big Bazaar on Dettol or Reckitt Benckiser which indicates another profiteering scenario.

Handwash dettol HW Liquid original 900 ml was sold to Big Bazaar Inderlok on 7/11/17 via PO 8115009618 for MRP 189. Then after Nov 15 GST rate reduction from 28% to 18% for MRP 209 on 21/12/17 via PO 4514107805.

On 20/6/18 same product supplied via PO 4518283635 for MRP 192.

So net net after 10% GST rate cut the manufacturer instead of reducing the MRP of product actually increased it and engaged in profiteering according to me.

Anti Profiteering authority may please contact the Big Bazaar and validate and gather more information from them and book Reckitt Benckiser. more

Instances of profiteering are taking place everywhere and in respect of every products. The authority concerned appeared to be sleeping allowing these greedy manufacturers to loot the consumers as per their wills. There is nothing wrong in arising question about the intention of the government itself. When it was well aware about its inability to protect the interests of the consumers by putting its machinery in action against the dishonest manufacturers & traders, what was the point in keeping such large number of products under the highest brackets of the GST rates and then reducing the rates step by step, which process is still in progress and reduction in the rates of tax of several other products is expected in the near future? Does the government has its hands in glove with these groups of dishonest community of the society to achieve its secret agenda? May be or may not be but its act of keeping the eyes closed over millions of complaints on profiteering is enough to raise the eyebrows. more
Not only after reduction of GST rate but also at the time of imposition of GST almost all the pharmaceutical manufacturers have played the same thing. The MRP was not reduced to the extent of the excise duty, where as the same has been included in the price and additionally charged GST, which is inclusive of all taxes like excise duty, local taxes and others. more
Good work more
