Quality of air conditioners
Air conditioners made in India are really not suitable for the conditions here. Too many of them have gas leaks need fixes, atleast once every year may be twice in places like Noida.
Why cant the bis standards body up the standards and get all makers of ac to comply.
Either enhance the product and meanwhile provide reasonable price amc so the consumer doesnt suffer. more

Areas near to Sea shore A/Cs are prone to corrosion because of salt and humidity. Hence A/Cs life get reduced considerably and needs frequent maint/repair/gas leak problems. more

I am in sea side city. I used Panasonic and Samsung. Don't feel any maintenance needs, even after 8-10 years. Check the, suppliers/ agencies, etc. Ask the supply from known vendors more

I have used O-General ACs with copper coils (Split as well as window) made in Thailand in our house. Though O-General ACs have good reputation in the market with higher cost but, even then their performance was no better than Indian made ACs and had gas filled every season. Noida has many open drains and perhaps that causes early corrosion of coils and gas leak more

Nobody in India cares as long as they get their salaries and a bribe. What I mean is no official. Everything is a farce and only the elections matter. It is so very sad that our country has turned this way. Why did our freedom fighters ever ask for freedom? To see us in such a state! With interest rates falling so drastically it will be impossible for the middle-class to even think of buying new equipment. Whose fault is this? The governments. Why would you bring such draconian steps to people who have suffered so much during the pandemic and thereafter, WHY? more
