The stiff competition has made a big challenge to the Airlines. But the Ticket rates should be made uniform, based on distance. Dynamic fare should not be charged. more
Airlines fleece heavily even for postponement or preponement more
This strike is going on since last 5days and now general public have learnt to go on without government transport. Hence now Maharashtra Government should permanently stop buses and should allow private buses pm condition that they will charge only what is fare in government buses and will not be allowed to hike prices irrespective of petrol/diesel/gas price changes. Also all workers of BEST should be removed from service permanently paying their PF and gratuity. No other compensation should be given. more
Air India continues to fleece passengers on cancellation fees of upto 40% on international flights. I complained about this last year but it has fallen on deaf ears The big boss of Travel industry Akbar Travels and some of their sub agents are in collusion with Air India to fleece Indian passengers, who dare to cancel an international air booking. I had to cancel because the Shengen Visa was not being issued in time. The travel agent made confirmed flight bookings on Air India through Akbar Travels, even before the Visa was issued. I requested a refund of the ticket amount from Air India, who pointed out that I have to go through the travel agent and request refund. I did that but, only 60% of the fare amount I had prepaid, was refunded. I wrote to AirIndia about this and they just ignored my emails and phone calls. Even my email to head of operaions at Air India went unanswered. Such fraud is practiced evem today by Air India and their associated travel agents. Govt need to step in and stop this fraud. The law must be: if a passenger is unable to ravel due to circumstances beyond his/her control, a minimum of 90% of the fare must be refunded. more
