Real Estate Business is a very opaque business which could be best termed as a nexus of politicians, criminals, unions, suppliers and bureaucracy. Ordinary person cant even get his property converted from agriculture to Commercial. Recently cash in 9 digits was recovered from an official of a Municipality from Kolkata suburb. By virtue of such nexus, the front promoters dont need to abide themselves to sales commitments. And the customer has to suffer as he is unable to stand against such people. more
The Builders are cheating the public in various ways. Their accounts should be checked properly by the Government and the builders should be penalised. more
this is a very good move and will guide consumers about fraudulent developers more
The fact that the real Estate Developers are duping their prospective customers often make news in front pages of news papers of the country. In fact due to our complicated decades old laws (which were made by the British) and lethargic judiciary system, the real estate developers/builders all over the country are freely engaged in malpractices and duping purchasers in different manners including sub-standard construction. Even the developers under big & reputed names, like, Tata Housing are not exception. They lure the customers by offering something and once the booking is complete, they refuse to adhere to their earlier promise. These multi-millionaires often encroach government lands, get illegal modifications in revenue records in their favour in connivance with the revenue department employees and construct houses/complexes and sell the same in open market putting the purchasers in dilemma as they don't have any legal rights over the property. The government need to come out with stricter laws to stop this menace. more
real estate builders are not changing the 'name' in electric meter/ property tax paper more
