restaurant service charge

this is the position of restaurant service charge which is charged even after persistant denial. on the spot nothing specific except to call police can be done which itself is very embrassing situation. can this be curbed in any way. or any action can be made on such errant restaurants more

True, govt should bring in consumer protection law where the service charge is removed rather than leaving it to consumers for not to pay and leading to a fight with restaurant owner. more

AI fully agree with Mr. A.K.Goel as I have also very bad experience in this matter, but one advice to all, that if they include SC in bill, we should be adamant in NOT paying, leading to either they will withdraw or call police. Even then I also feel that Govt. Should notify for public attention NOT to pay any SC and specify that any Restaurant charging and NOT withdrawing TO BE PENALISED even cancellation of their licence. With this Govt. Action I am sure they will stop charging. S.R.Mittal more
