RO standards
Most UV water purifiers in the market say they are only suitable for water with TDS<200 mg/l. Otherwise, these companies recommend RO. Is there any health-basis to the 200 mg/l threshold, given that WHO says water with TDS below 500 is palatable? more

Water Purifiers have been made a compulsory device in every house, forcibly. It is the duty of the Government and Corporation to provide potable water to all house-holds. It is a dereliction of duty of they are found wanting in this. The water purifier marketing companies are having a ball in marketing such products. RO device leads to a lot of water wastage. Why are we wasting a scarce resource like water?. Similarly who is responsible for the breeding of mosquitoes?. Why is there no mosquito eradication programme?. Mosquitoes cause diseases, do not let an individual to have a good sleep at night. This in turn spoils the health further. Nobody is any wiser. Sab chalta hai!!!. more

Marketing .... Marketing .... Marketing .... Has anyone checked the TDS at input and output of the Water Filter (RO or Otherwise) ? The quantum of TDS is not the issue, its the nature of the TDS ... and none of the filters actually address that ... more

It is the duty of the govt./municipality to supply water with known TDS and carry out complete analysis as a routine job....??? more

By encouraging more and more fine tuned Water Filter, we are reducing Immunity Capacity of Individual, which is not good in long run. more
