Samsung indifference and cheating for supplying poor quality fridge

Does any body has problem with Samsung fridge Quality?
I have faced substandard quality of Samsung Fridge Samsung India Product RT39K5518S8/TL purchased in 2018 for Rs 36500 and warantee is also extended by one year by me paying Rs 2000 which continues today also. Samsung supplied poor quality glass shelf and one shelf has broken by itself in about 1-1/2 year time. Normally toughened glass is used to manufacture these shelves and these are not easily breakable, but Samsung used bad quality glass shelf broke during extended warantee period. Samsung say they are not responsible for broken shelf as this is not covered under warantee. They want me to pay for the shelf charge of Rs 500. It should be note that shlef is most important part of fridge where you keep all your eatables vegetables and food. Without shelf fridge is useless.
Only Samsung sells poor quality glass shelf while I keep another glass shelf of Whirlpool fridge which is intact even after 15 years of use.
I want to ask if this shelf is so fragile and perishable than it it must be covered under warnatee when customer can replace it free of cost but Samsung dosent understand the meaning of quality and they avoid. A consumer complaint was filed with consumer affairs cell of food and measure ministry authority as well but they just do a post man job, they pass on my concern to them and send me their answer, with out looking into the grievance and quality aspect. This is the horrible state of affair with government authorities who are just not doing any service for worthwhile benefit to consumer. more

Are the shelves made of glass or toughened plastic. Every warranty clearly mentions that it does not cover glass/plastic made parts. more
Mainly you will find problems with those manufacturers who add to their products. For example Samsung is mainly in TV and Mobile.Fridge is a new product for them and hence teething problem. more
Sorry, Samsung is dealing with fridges for decades. Our fridge of Samsung was purchased in 2004 and still working. more
Must be a one off case as the product is good. Glass shelves are not covered by warranty any way. more
iF you have made a judgmental mistake, please try to accept the fact. I think you have very little chance as most likely the glass shelf will not be covered under the warranty. Mostly body shell and the compressor are covered under the warranty and no authority can give you some benefit beyond the scope of warranty. Sometimes due to sheer bad luck we face such difficulties as all equipment may not develop similar problems as have been expressed here by some other customers. So better you accept the fact and apply better judgment next time you buy another. In the matter of warranties, all manufacturers are same, barring a very few exceptions. Leave the bitter taste behind, sir! more
I had no problem with a samsung fridge. It is possible that defective material gets into market if quality control is lax. As a general experience, the bigger they are that much difficult it is to enforce warranty. Only Govt can save by directing consumer courts to dispose such claims in 15 days and publish the manufacturer name in pan India press and media. The right to appeal should be severely restricted as the consumer is not a full time litigant more
