To answer the query directly The side effect profile of every antibiotic is different. The range of side effects cannot be explained on this forum But yes some antibiotics can cause nausea, vomitting, stomach upset, loosemotions. Others can cause jaundice and liver problems- the antitubercular medicines are probably the most commonly prescribed antibiotics in India with major side effects on liver. Still others can be harmful to the kidneys. Many antibiotics can cause blood disorders like anemai, thrombocytopenia. As exemplified, the side effect profile of antibiotics can be endless. You are right Mr Khan. But the average indian patient does not like to revisit a doctor. In order to make sure that the patient gets fit, sometimes the doctors do overprescribe, and I agree with you, that that should not happen. Lets just say that the intentions are good, the practice and the results and the effects are not more

It is common in India that most doctors prescribed antibiotic even when someone dont need it. However in developed countries this is opposite, doctors are cautious when prescribing antibiotic and always inform the patient what they are prescribing and why. Moreover antibiotic has no effect at all for most common diseases which are caused by virus e.g soar throat, fever. Even most of the mild bacterial infections are cured by our body's immune system and antibiotic are not required for even ENT related bacterial infections. Antibiotics kills the bacteria but at the same time they also kills the good bacteria in our body which may have long term impact on our digestion system. You can get more details from below link.
