What if people look at this oxymeter and get themselves into a hospital or next line of treatment.
If BIS hasnt approved this device for sale in India who has ? Or is it selljng because some smart online seller imported from china and is listing it for sale on ecommerce platforms?

My own view is all regulatory bodies in our country are not carrying out their functions properly, lack accountability and many of them if not all are mired in corruption. When heads of such organizations like CBI are themselves charged for protecting corrupt individuals, who is there to investigate? more

In India Original and counterfeit products are sold side by side. Since health is a major concern during COVID-19 pandemic, GOI has to take action against sellers & manufacturers (may be in India) of such counterfeit products. More over what is the law to counter/punish such business? more

As I said yesterday these are to be regulated under Medical Devices Rules 2017 but enforcement is still a year away. more

Medical devices are to be regulated. By law. By CDSCO. But only notified devices ate regilated. All devices would come under regulation earliest in Oct 2021. Until then its free for all. BIS only has a voluntary certification scheme. more
