sub standard products

Manufacturers, distributors and sellers of sub standard products are promptly punished. No appeal to court. I don't mean manufacturing defects as sub standard products; I mean using sub standard material to manufacture a product. Bad products drive out good products from market.

Sellers must give sale bill to each customer. No matter how busy they may be in sales. If sellers knowingly delay in giving bill, he can be fined.

Many big companies do not provide after sales support and services at show rooms where they sell their products. Customers has to go to different places for support. Most mobile phones manufacturers adopt this practice. They appoint dealers in small towns but for replacement or repairs, they ask customers to go to big city. Minimum, they must authorise dealers to collection agents for after sales service. more

Quality is most important for any product and need not be compramised. Product should be an acceptable quality to all and it is to be maintained with in cost of the product and performance is to be satisfactory. I agree with the statement, made by Chandra Sundaram G.K.Naidu, HYderabad more
Absolutely true. In most of the sales the after sale service is poor. The enthusiasm in selling is not there in servie more
Most retail sales are on proforma invoice. Don't we agree to unwritten term that shopkeeper is our first and last court of appeal. Second, we are promoting loss to state and other government departments. Change in the government can remove legal and regulatory hurdles, but we have to change our attitude first. more
Quality has become a norm in our country through accreditations. Very few are following these norms in their manufacturing processes, because of many reasons. The reasons being bad assets, inadequate market presence, pricing and marketing difficulties, failing to deliver on time etc. This leads to compromise is quality. Customer is supreme and he needs good product to get maximum life. This logic has not been appreciated by the producer. Customer is made to get a discount on purchase of substandard product by solicitation. So blaming only producer or seller and punitive measures contemplated on him will not work. The consumers and producers both need to be enlightened on the problem. The same logic holds good for invoicing. more
To transform India we must change ourselves first of all. We must abandon the 'chalta hai' attitude first of all. more
