Surge Pricing --- a daylight robbery -- people are suffering
Through this forum I would like to bring to the awareness of the intellectuals as well as the law makers that the citizens of our country are groaning under the pressure of the most unwise and exploitative system of Surge Pricing practiced by the Cabs, the Airlines, and now the Railways. People are being cheated during the so called peak hours, and are forced to pay several times the actual charge. Among the Cabs the Exploiters are Ola and Uber. And the less said about the Airlines the better. They too corner some passengers, cancel their tickets and make them book tickets under surge pricing. Economists can only see the profit behind surge pricing but they do not take into consideration the ethicality of the practice nor the burden on people who need to travel in emergencies. I would suggest here that the Govt. should take the matter seriously and put a complete end to Surge pricing in all modes of travel.
A uniform and stable rate for cabs, airlines and railways should be fixed irrespective of the time or season of travel. Please put a permanent end to Exploitation of commuters... more

The MRP of product is too more & malls are being discount to customer so i want to reduce the MRP of product or GST should be ladies on MRP. The co.has to reduce the price.Govt had to set up martin radio of product or take GST on MRP more

Surge pricing if followed as per market logic is perfectly justifiable and fair. If less services are available and there is a hell of a lot of more demand than naturally the prices will have to be raised to serve the customers. The traffic will be high and progress slow - still we cannot expect the Taxi operator to charge the normal fare. It is we who are being unfair. After all the business is not a social service. If Taxi travel is unaffordable the town bus is always waiting. more

I get a plane ticket at rail price. Train tickets are cheapest in the world. I get a/c Uber for price of auto. Why should I not get this? If surge pricing is removed, then I would have to pay more for travel in non-peak hours. Why should I pay more, to subsidise guys who travel during peak hours? If you travel during peak hours, you should pay more, not make me pay for your charge. This demand is made without proper understanding of the pricing. more

These are absolutely true. At times the common men are forced to feel as to whether there is any government and their enforcement agencies to stop tyranny of these vicious people and their agencies! Common men continue to suffer year after year and decade after decade but the politicians running the governments have same colour & character with single point target to loot the nation and its people and accumulate billions worth wealth. They are least bothered about the sufferings of the common men. They spit on each other in presence of the voters and find out together new ways & means to bluff us and continue their misdeeds of the nation's plunder! more
