Terrible Budget
Once upon a time, PM and his Govt asked people to give up their LPG subsidy. 1.13 crore people, mostly middle class, gave up that subsidy voluntarily. It is not that middle class does not want to help India's growth story. It is not that they don't want India's poor to benefit. It is just that they want to know why can't they get some relief? What have they gotten after 10 years of patience?
And what relief do they want? They don't want the world from you. They just want to live honestly. Their children's school fee increases 10% every year. Their doctor's fees has doubled, even tripled, in last 10 years. Their house rent increases a minimum of 10% every year. Have their salaries increased in the same quantum? Heck, you have added insult to injury by increasing LTCG!
This is a demoralising budget without any imagination. It will percolate through all the sections of society. If you think rural Bharat will be with you, this negativity will affect them too.
I wonder if Modiji comes today and asks people to forego their subsidies voluntarily, would they? more

No relief to Senior citizens in the budget 2024. Many of them who have saved their hard earned money for their old age, are disappointed. A small relief that was available in the old regime has been completely denied. They had saved the money during their working days after paying all the taxes, have now to pay income tax again on its interest without any relief. Other privileges that were available to them as per previous budgets , are also denied. more

BJP knows that this Govt with support from turncoats like Nitish and Chandrababu won't last for long and they will go down further if mid term polls are warranted. So "Looto" till you are in power. They treat people still sticking to old regime for reasons like HRa House loan etc as outcasts. Why the Standard Deduction increase is not applicable to them ?So Rob the middle class who have No Escape but to helplessly see TDS swelling and savings dwindling.Still they faithfully vote for Ruling party because other parties will do the same thing even worse. more

Terrible is a very soft word i should call it atrocious .LPG subsidy middle class people given up.Have HNI people and also have mla/mp's have they given up .What was necessary for gold/silver for reducing the tax whereas for the middle and lower class it would be good to reduce on their daily needs like medicines/essential drugs/staples like milk and food and vegetables items .Govt wants to promote cold storage products like fishes/shrimps but on the other hand majority of people who consume other staples like pulses/cereals whose prices have sky rocketed should have given more impetus to reduce its price like turdal etc.Looks govt wants all veg people to start eating cold storage products and also even if one does not have money to have two meals a day should buygold/silver for what.It is a crony and terrible budget.I feel whoever is giving these kind of directions is mentally unfit to be in the budget group.What is the fun in the FM before budget discussing with all stake holders just for formality and making fun of them when already it has been decided not to give them any benefits and only talk to them to give false impressions that they will address their issues. the whole dept of FM needs to be removed and more ground level understanding of the issues what farmers/lower middle class people etc need to be addressed.Looks like we definitely need a change in the govt since for the past 10 yrs it has gone from bad to worse more
