theshoppingbazar.in

Hello,
I ordered 3 products from theshoppingbazar.com on August 23rd, 2019 following which I got an SMS and email confirming the order. The website offered no cash on delivery so I made the payment by debit card, they promised delivery within 10-15 days.

After waiting for about 20 days I tried contacting them but realised that there's no customer care number or email but only a provision on their website to send them a message. I contacted them asking about the details of my order as the website said "processing". Hereafter I searched for emails and mobile numbers online and found it from forums where other disappointed customers like me were claiming the website to be fraudulent. I then sent them 2 emails spaced one week apart, first one asking for a cancellation of the order and full refund of the amount; the second one was a final notice to refund the money, failing which legal action would be taken against them. However none of the emails got a response.

After the 1 month mark the website was taken down and couldn't even be accessed so I called the numbers which I found online (not on their website) and explained my problem to them, they confirmed that it was the customer care of their website, promised to refund my amount but asked for my UPI number and sent me messages which read "do not forward if asked", the same SMS was asked to be forwarded to their company number for the refund of my money. When I declined to do so I was abused vividly and hung up on and ultimately blocked by them.

The number is of a Rahul Kumar, who didn't even know the amount of my order, asked for the order id and said 850rs will be sent immediately if I forward the bank SMS, although I did not make the payment by UPI and my order totalled to 765rs. Upon probing him about the details of my order, the non arrival of the same he nonchalantly said that it must have been cancelled and on asking him when it was cancelled he had no response. Also when I asked him why the website isn't working he said the server is down and hung up again. All these telephonic calls have been recorded by me and shall be produced in front of the court when required. more
