Transparency required in Motor sales

With my motor purchase/sales experience whether new or resale there is a lot of confusion created by the salesmen or the agents involved. They take the customers for granted and delay payment or delivery. Some of them make fake promises and do not make any effort to stand by it.

a) In my sale case, I directly talked to customer and it was finished in no time. In the hindsight, the agent was pushing for a finance option to the buyer for his personal gains.

b) In a recent purchase case, the sales man tried to push us into a finance option for which he would get additional incentive. I did not go with the finance option provided by the sales man in this case. Every time I call the sales they would say "you will get your vehicle in two days". After a month I conveyed that this is going to be escalated to the vehicle manufacturer, then it was taken seriously.

This is a means of exploitation of customers for personal gains. There is no transparency or professionalism in the whole process.

Insurance industry had this problem and their agents were losing credibility. With IRDA certifying agents fake promises have stopped. We need similar levels of professionalism in motor vehicle sale/purchase sector.

Let us join hands and overcome this unprofessional attitude. more

Everywhere this kind of agents/brokers are there and their own ocmpany is involved in all their wrong doings !! why an outside finance company employee is allowed inside their office when he noway related to their company becos from him they both get benefitted, selling company/agency will get more sales & sales person/executive will get his extra com !! simple !!!! more
I also had similar experience when I bought my car. The sales person was pushing me to get it financed, even partly. He was citing that by doing so I will not get notice from IT Dept. I had no worry since mine was all white money payment through bank. However, maximum sales must be with black money and that is why incentive for finance. more
Sometime they tempt you by delivery within a day if it through financed. And late del.if you ready to pay against del. This is my experience with Honda dealer If sales person is doing they must be backed up by higher authority. more
