trash handling

recently I visited ncr area, rajashthan and panjab - although I don't live there. forgive my verbiage - but india is becoming more of a trash display house than any improvement. this common sense approach is to come from people and the authorities - i don't see either side of them are serious. on the other hand, if handled properly this waste management can become a multi-billion $ industry and all this dirt can be trashed properly. i visit many countries, although I belong here, but India is the dirtiest country i have seen so far. - my 2 cents. more

We gave expression to our views on the subject and unless I am totally mistaken, summary of the views so expressed has been made over to the concerned Govt. Authority. Trash handling is dealt with by Municipalities/Cantonments. Their not acting on the Local Circle’s Summary may be due to their indifference. If my recollection serves me right, our expectation on the subject is as follows: At the points of origin of trash (residences, offices, shops, hospitals, hotels, educational institutions etc.) the trash may have to be segregated into categories like the following:(a) organic waste (including bark, peelings, branches of trees (b) paper and paper boards, © glass, (d) cloth, (e) plastic items, (f) other recyclable items including styrofoam. The item at (a) may be utilised for feeding cows and other animals, composted to become manure, generate electricity, branches of trees being used as support for small plants being erect and for creepers. All other items (b) to (f) may be appropriately recycled as far as possible. more
N.C.R.Consist of Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad and the districts around .These cities are the home for the parliament, the central and state secretariats , many big business houses , B.O.P.'s and so on . The Engineers and consultants had planned the infrastructure well Logistic support system is also in place . Government is spending sufficient money to create awareness on cleanliness roping in Big Cine stars hoping that their words will carry some value . Still we haven't moved from Square 1 as far as Pollution , Garbage clearance and recycling , safe guarding our water ways . WHERE HAVE WE GONE WRONG . WE ARE NO MORE A POOR COUNTRY . WHY NOT TAKE EFFECTIVE METHODS THAT WILL INDIA FROM THESE PROBLEMS. more
Mr. Ajay I can not support your ideology to argue the things which have not been achieved due to our legacy. We always comment for things not in order and compare with other countries, but have you found the method or system those countries have adopted to implement for better result, and could have suggested and highlighted those in localcircle for implementation in our country for better result, we ourselves do not follows the rules and misuse or break for our ease. Discipline comes from our own home not from post or comments. more
I think that it has nothing to do with education. It has something to do with age old attitude that we have inculcated in past 70 years. Do we not see each house be it in city or village being cleaned every day from inside? But we throw all dirt out side in front of others house and others throw it in front of our house. Have we heard ever before some one talking about cleanliness before? I am happy that at least a beginning has been made and today we are discussing the subject. Let every one of us do our part and things will improve. more
Big thing is everyone wants dependency on somebody or some peoples. They never do that "I or we do" and never do work come first of there post, reputation and their mkt. value and also MCD is not planned new mkt. strategies for "how to neet and clean environment?" more
