What used to be ₹40 to ₹50 fare for autos a few weeks is now ₹80+ on uber and other cab hailing apps. About ₹40 increase in fares. This is in Bangalore. Is it the same in other places as well? Should we go back to hailing autos, arguing with them and paying cash instead digital? more
Such incidences are very common when rules of the game are not very firm. Now no feed back system & practice exist, so users are not able to communicate anything odd about service and driver. Govt. is quietly remain silent on their own interest. So no expectation to witness any change in practice. So Such practise will continue till the Govt. remains aloof. more
Ola is just the same. Most of the drivers cancel after enquiring the fare. They accept only cash. Moreover, after accepting they demand 50-100 Rupees extra. As Sri Padmanabhan says, the fares have also doubled in the last few months. more
Now they are taking advantage of monopoly, driver's taking ride as per their convenience, refusal is frequent, once the ride is booked you have to take that...no matter how long you have to wait. Even if you cancel you have to pay...which means user is bound to take ride. more
