unauthorized use of mobile number in a film

My mobile number was used in a dialogue in the film "MARJAAVAAN" produced by T series. Resulting which flooded with calls , messages from India ., abroad in odd hours. Lodged a police compliant and tweeted with Police but no action taken against Producer. Any one can suggest how to go about. I have posted messages in twitter to Producer and Director no response from them. more

Uncultured and Irresponsible script writer, director as also the actor. All of them are having criminal mental frame, and hence lack the sense of assessing the consequences of their acts. more
Quite obvious that you have no relationship with the persons concerned - so no mala fide intent. Options available to you: 1. Change your Number - service provider will be glad to oblige. 2. Action against Movie / Producer etc. 2.1 Seek Beeping / Blacking out of 5 digits in the movie - expensive, but easy to do for the Producer. 2.2 Seek Monetary compensation - depending on the success of the movie, anything from 1 - 5 Lakhs is the max you can get. If you handle it properly, this should be the easiest route. 2.3 Civil Judicial Action - Expensive and Time consuming, limited effectiveness. 2.3.1 Seek Cease & Desist on screening / online availability of the Movie - Unlikely to succeed in court. 2.3.2 Seek monetary compensation - net gain to you (post costs) will be less than #2.2, Indian courts don't provide compensation for mental agony etc. 2.4 Criminal Action - NO Criminal action can be pursued - the inclusion of a random number cannot be deemed to be mala fide / with intent to cause injury / damage - as such outside criminal law. more
Apart from Other Legal remedies - including but not limited to - Civil, Criminal, Consumer - you are free to use simultaneously. Not only seeking Compensation but penal actions as well. more
The producers should be asked not to tell the phone nos loudly in any dialogue. Only the first 2~3 numbers be kept audible. more
most of the e mail ids are wrong online - complain to who then and how ? want examples banks eg - seems to be done delibrately - seems like an eyewash as they all get fat salaries and make people work free - sending e mail is our work right - then what are their own systems doing ? paying them for not doing any work as per customer satisfaction why ? more
