Unfair Advertisement by Vodafone

I had recently, and on another occasion recharged my mobile with Rs.347/- entitling me to 1GB data and unlimited talk time. After the recharge I get a message that data allowed to me is 50 mb and that the balance data is available for 4G users only. This I find is grossly irregular and amounts to cheating. Advertisement devised to fleece customers. I feel terribly grieved. more

Cut throat competition often forces the companies to aggressively highlight the positives only & completely ignore the negatives. Statutory regulatory authorities should scrutinize the offers especially with respect to these negatives before allowing it to be floated in the market. Only under such circumstances it can be brought under control. May be inspector raj. more
Mr. Bidyut Chatterjee, please give copy of the Vodafone advt with ref Nr of the media that you are referring to, as also your purchase details if you have. You may send that over to the Advertising Council of India for redress. Or, you may send it over to me at the following address for taking the desired action: G. C. Mathur, Convenor-Trustee Treasurer, Binty, New Delhi-110070. My observation is VODAFONE is not applying the fair practices in India. Perhaps the management is not interested in addressing the genuine issues raised by the consumers. Airtel was bit better but when it comes to network availability and quality Airtel also does not bother. Idea is also not different. Let us wait and watch how satisfactorily Reliance-Jio comes out in its promise for Digital India with economic and optimised cost to consumers. Currently, Jio also does not have appropriate network and it promises to improve by March 2017 end. more
Reapproach the provide and record the advt. and then approach consumer redressal forum. more
However trifle your grievance may be, but then it is laudable that you raise your voice against it. Come to think of it, the Service Provider should have explained to you about this point. They did it to me BECAUSE I "asked". Now, do you mark the difference? Knowledge is strength! more
