Utter negligence by Apollo Pharmacy

Its been two times now since i have been given wrong medicines by APOLLO PHARMACY Howrah...utter negligence on their part...The 1st tym i hd seen the tablet strip before eating...but this tym my mother hs consumed it without checking the tablet strip...Moreover its BP Tablets...my mother condition hs worsened...dizziness, neckpain and she couldn't sleep the entire night that day she hd mistakenly consumed the wrong tablet...Suggest ways how to take legal action against them??? more

With all the documents and bal medicine approach the consumer court of your area more  
Please hold on with the prescription, medicine bill (containing the batch No.) and the unconsumed medicine. Write a Regd. Letter to the Apollo Pharmacy, stating their mistake and the consequence thereof. Ask them for a compensation and unconditional apology within 15 days. If no response comes, you can file a case in the District Consumer Court. more  
Medicines given by he medicine shops must be counter checked prior to administering instead of blindly relying on them. It would be better to get them verified by the prescribing physicians. As far as legal action against the chemist is concerned, you could have better guidance from a legal practitioner. more  
Oops! What a critical situation. Better consult Doctor with the tablet label etc. Does the Bill for this supply mention correct tablet name? Knocking at different doors with complaints is not going to bring in any remedy. Your mom's life is more precious. When it is a matter of medicine, it is better to be careful to see if we have received exactly what we have received before making payment. If Doctor's prescription is not readable clearly, better to show the medicine to Doctor to be doubly sure. Since our lives are affected, better to take all precautions. It is highly irresponsible on the part of the Pharmacy. more
