Vaccination administration - a couple of suggestions

A couple os suggestions to the experts and administrators of the vaccine to reduce crowding at the centers:
- Instead of 2 hour slots, have 30 min slots (4 slots) in the app for appointment booking.
- Allow only those who have appointment for the specified slot to come into the vaccination premises.
- not sure how feasible this is.
Depends on the feasibility of storing the vaccine in a mobile van. Home vaccination service at an additional cost for those who can afford, similar to blood sample collection. Only those within 2 kms radius of the center can avail this service after booking a slot. Mobile vans with a nurse to be used for transportation. more

As long as there would be shortage and uncertainty of supply of vaccine, its management is a herculean task. more
What you describe, dear Sir, is the "IS-situation"; the pertinent question before us all is "how to improve upon it to make it 100 per cent......." Any suggestions? more
Yes, vaccine administration is not well organised. Cowin portal is not able to handle the volume of registration, schedule, Certificates, etc. There are mistakes in data entry at Hospital (vaccination centre) such as second dose is entered as first dose and there are are duplicate records on the website on two dates under same names, etc. Rectification of errors is practically impossible....... OTPs are not received when we login into the system....., etc more
Vaccine administration is totally mismanaged by the central government. Reckoning the vaccine manufacturers capacity, current infrastructure, population of 60 crores between the age group 18 & 44, government should not have opened vaccine programme for all adults from 1 May 2021. Only about 2 crores of 45 plus population out of 30 crorers have got both jabs as on date. Added to this peril is the fixation of price of vaccine which common man cannot afford. Already this pandemic has impacted the financials of the common man. Again, CEO of SII has admitted that he earns a profit at the sale price of Rs.150/- then what is the basis for raising the price of life saving vaccine. No other country vaccinates for a price. more
This morning I received a rather pertinent comment: "India is massively gyan surplus country but hugely deficit in common sense and discipline." Introduction of rope-rails, like at airports and at some temples could help solve the problem of thronging. more
We do 80% of any work well. The last 20% we goof up. So, the entire work becomes useless. One if the 80-20 rules. more
