Vodfoneidea nor refunding my money

I have a vodafoneIdea sim. The number was provided by my employer when I was working with them but the bills were paid by me for many years through my net banking. Vodafone is a registered biller in my net banking.

Last year I had requested for the transfer of the number to my personal name instead of the employer name and it was attended. However when VodafoneIdea did the transferred they did no inform about the change of account number. Unknowingly as usual when I transferred my bill payment it went to the inactive account. In addition by mistake I transferred an additional amount of Rs 12000 to Vodafone which also went to my old account. Now, when I realised, I ask them to reverse the payment, but it is held up by them for the last more than 8 months. I don know how to get back my money. more

It is not your fault. Same thing also happened with me but service provider was reliance communication. I ported my number from Airtel to Reliance. After porting I received first bill & paid through netbanking. Payment succeed & also received confirmation from reliance but after a week they disconnected my number by giving reason that I did not made the payment. Again received second bill with previous outstanding. This whole amount also I paid & received confirmation from reliance but again they permanently disconnected my number by giving reason that I did not made payment. Finally I approached to consumer forum. Currently matter is pending with Consumer Disputes redressal forum thane. more
Please take up the matter and the service provider will reasonably rectify the mistake. more
I feel you have to claim from your employer as the amount must have been credited to Vodafone on your on behalf of your employer. more
Only solution could be sending a legal notice and proceed legally against the company. It has become a trend in recent days in the country not to attend complaints of customers by any service provider and not to refund any money wrongfully paid/received by the customers/them because of lethargic attitude and partiality of the concerned authorities towards the dishonest service providers. Our unwillingness to proceed legally also encourage these people to run away with the customers money. Hence, proceed legally against them avoiding delay. more
Vodafone had once suffered huge loss and now probably it wants to garner more and more money from customers by various methods as this so stay away from such companies. more
Please contact vodfone customer service , send sms about your problem. If this did not yield any result, please send an email to the legal wing of Vodafone (may be nodal officer) explaning the entire matter. I am sure they will attend to it. Please let me know the outcome, and will fix the problem. Nothing to worry. more
