Vouchers by brands

I am new to this platform but have been hearing positive things about its impact and giving common consumer a voice.

The issue I have is many brands say 1000 rupees off voucher if you download app. Once u download app, they send you either codes that dont work or have conditions.

What govt ministry is responsible to address this voucher fraud. Also cashback is similar? more

In the broader interests of the community I feel that there should be a law which should ensure that these kind of organisations do not cheat public and go skot free and it will be better it becomes a punishable offence either in court or in consuumer court so that these kind of fraudulent deals do not get published. From our part I think we also need to be better informed with these kind of offers and before one invests do not entertain these.Nothing comes free and we should be smart to catch the same . regards ashok more

These are honey traps. We should ignore such messages more
These are the marketing techniques. It is like honey trap emails or calls we receive daily. It is the inner desire of the customer to take benefit the schemes offered without much deliberations and awareness about the schemes. And when unaware customer is cheated, s/he cries and complains and seeks protection from Government whereas Government is a macro level guide and protector not micro level customer protector. Individual customer, need to go to consumer court. Who will fight my battle? Only me. Why to blame Government or any other authority? They are the regulators. Regulator works when you complain. Be more aware about market and less will be the teething problems. more
You are correct the company does not disclose the conditions but wright terms apply the govt should take strick actions and secondly the companies should display terms and conditions in bold letters so that consumers are aware. more
This is the irony. Firstly consumers are allowed to be taken for a ride and then they are asked to raise voice as a Jagruk Grahak through Jago Grahak campaign. This is the only remedy available to cheated consumer as per present law. more
