The Telcos (Telecom companies) are unitedly opposing TRAI's proposal to set up an ombudsman. The TELCOs contend that the existing mechanism for redressal of consumer grievances is adequate but I differ based on my own bad experience of last few months. I strongly urge our circle members to take a tough, united stand and urge TRAI to set up an ombudsman to intervene in consumer complaints. more
Agreed. There has to be an ombudsman for each and every area of service for the benefit of customers. Ombudsman acts as an interim step before going in for litigation. This can help reduce burden on judiciary. more
