Bangalore Police

Bangalore traffic police is the worst agency in Bangalore. For obvious reasons, they do not control the traffic ( which will not benefit them personally) but catch all offenders so that collections are good( both personal and govt) . Secondly, they seem to own the city and hence, let the footpaths for a fee, non parking areas to private buses for a fee, They are ready to lease the city for a fee, alas, there are courts and hence, have not sold this city yet. The whole department has deteriorated over the years in terms of efficiency and civic sense. Unfortunate but true. Govt doesnot seem to bother for reasons known to all of us.

Bangalore Police would be more busy a little away from signal BOOKING Two Wheelers. While just may be 200 meters away there is severe traffic Jam , they hardly bother. No Control on Signal Jumpers, Without helmet, Triple rider, Constable are just Mute spectator, do nothing, sometimes clicking Pictures, can do for 1 or 2 vehicle, rest goes unnoticed .

I would rate them low because, though the officers on the field are slogging it out in difficult conditions, there is no strategy in the dept. itself for a city with bad roads and increasingly high and aggressive traffic. An example is - instead of enforcing lane discipline or fining errant drivers who come on one ways etc., police are looking at parking violations of two wheelers (though important, driving safety takes higher priority)...and the list can go on.....

I rate Bangalore Traffic Police at very low level when compared to kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal. Here our Traffic Police works based on their individual rules and whims. My complaints have gone waste
